A Graduation to Remember at The Coach House
The Coach House in Lake Country has always been one of our family’s favourite escapes. Nestled above Wood and Kalamalka Lakes, it’s a peaceful retreat that my mom lovingly calls “her Lake House" or "her cabin". It's a special nostalgic place for my Mom, who grew up in the Okanagan and spent summers diving into these crystal-clear lakes. Every year—sometimes even more than once—we find ourselves back here, soaking in the views and enjoying the warm hospitality of our dear friend, Marisa and her family, who own this special spot.

This year’s visit was extra meaningful. I had the honour of doing a graduation photo session with her youngest daughter. She looked stunning in her sky-blue dress, surrounded by her proud Mom, Dad and sister right by her side. Even Grandma was there to support and celebrate!

We laughed, posed, and captured moments that felt both joyful and timeless—all set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Coach House and the countryside it overlooks.
For me, it was more than just a photoshoot—it was capturing a milestone for people I care about, in a place that already feels like home. I’ve been lucky enough to photograph both daughters for their graduations, and each time it’s a reminder of how much love, history, and beauty are wrapped into this little piece of Oyama.

The Coach House itself is a gem. With its private entrance, cozy beach-themed design, and a deck that opens up to views of vineyards, orchards, and two sparkling lakes, it’s the perfect mix of comfort and charm. Check out their posting on AirBnb HERE.
And when the photos were done, there was still more to enjoy—time together on the property, visits to nearby wineries, walks to the local bakery, and the kind of unhurried peace that makes every trip here unforgettable.
The Coach House isn’t just an Airbnb—it’s a place where milestones are celebrated, memories are captured, and family stories continue to unfold. Thank you, Marisa, for welcoming us into this little piece of heaven on earth!
