A new favourite look for Vancouver cake smash in 2026 - (most popular right now) for baby girls and boys in my studio is light and airy boho theme, with whites, creams, and earthy neutrals, natural wooden beautifully curated pieces, like the beads seen above and beautiful pampas grasses add visual texture and natural elements.

This adorable dress on our baby girl was custom created by Rochelle Elise for this cake smash theme. Hand crocheted top with eyelet skirt and a white tutu underneath for fullness doesn't stop pleasing.

All of our props are non toxic so friendly to babies. The minimalistic styling works so well in this space, and the 900 square feet allow you room to breath as you enjoy this most profound baby milestone.

Our cakes are not sweet at all. After 15 years of cake smash sessions, I have tried it all! and had some success and some failure as far as cakes are concerned. I have narrowed things down to the softest most smash-able cakes, with low sugar, not sweet but just creamy and delicious. Parents very often take this cake home!! as they equally enjoy it!

One of my favourites is the "whole food's Chantilly Berry" cake. It has berries inside the cake, which keeps baby's enjoying as they break through the creamy topping. Instead of butter and icing sugar, the icing is made with egg whites and marscapone cream. It is a simple cake that I can decorate according to the theme.

For this cake smash we changed baby's clothes part way in, so mommy can enjoy her baby in a few different looks. Who doesn't like a wardrobe change? It makes the decisions for what to wear easier. So now the neutral set has some soft dusty pink.

I love what mommy wore here, with the cream dress that she could still move freely in. Mommy and me photos are always included in my cake smash packages.
